Samsung’s Cheapest Touchscreen Now Available In India

Samsung has launched its smallest and cheapest touchscreen, the Samsung Champ (C3300) handset in India.
It features a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen that has a QVGA resolution. It has a 1.3 megaixel camera at the rear and also boasts of various connectivity options including Bluetooth and USB. The phone’s other features include GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, Music player, FM radio, access to social networking services, Samsung Apps, MicroSD card support, and a 1000 mAh battery.

LG Android-powered Optimus Z Announced
Korean manufacturer LG has announced the Android-powered Optimus Z smartphone.
The Optimus Z is said to be Android powered with version 2.1 of the operating system. This will be upgraded to version 2.2 later in the year. It also features a 3.5 inch WVGA Hyper HD Display. Other features include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and two 1350mAh batteries. Also featured is a 5 megapixel camera, Dolby Mobile and it’s DivX compatible.

Videocon Launches Three New Phones In India

Videocon has unveiled its latest series of mobile handsets, the Qruz V1425, V1424, and V1430. All these new models are dual SIM handsets.
The Qruz V1425 is a 100 Watt PMPO Music output phone with large speakers. It is aimed for the customers, who have a special liking for music. The phone with huge speakers sports cover mesh grill, VGA camera, 1200 mAH battery, an MP3 player, a high resolution 2 inch TFT screen, expandable memory of up to 4GB, 1000 Phonebook/500 SMS memory, along with an LED torch and a mobile tracker software. With all these specifications, the phone is priced at Rs 3,180.

Simmtronics Unveils Slim Desktop PCs

Simmtronics has announced its new range of slim desktop PCs that are available in two variants: SDC 2711S and SCD 2911S.
The desktop PC range comes with 15.6-inch, 18.5-inch and 20-inch LCD monitor options. The SDC2711S comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core (E5400, 2.7 GHz, 2MB Cache, 800 FSB) processor, 1 GB of RAM (can be upgraded up to 4GB) and 500 GB SATA HDD. It also features DVD R/W Dual Layer, Multimedia Keyboard, Optical Mouse and slim cabinet. It will come preloaded with Ubuntu operating system.

Vodafone Introduces Solar Powered Handset In India

Vodafone has announced the launch of its first solar powered handset in India.
The phone, known as the VF 247, is targeted at India’s huge rural mobile phone market. Users will no longer be required to be near an electrical outlet to charge their phones. The VF 247 solar powered phone charges by itself, by exposure to ambient light. One doesn’t require exposure to direct sunlight as normal ambient light should be enough to power this one. The phone requires eight hours of direct sunlight to be fully charged. Once charged, it will last for more than eight days and offer about four hours of talk time. Feature-wise, it boasts of an FM radio, color screen and a powerful torch light.
