Moser Baer Debuts Slim USB Drives

Moser Baer has launched the world’s slimmest 8GB USB flash drive. Measuring 2.3mm thin, this new USB flash drive comes with embedded LED and weighs merely 1.3 grams.
The company has equipped these micro USB Flash drives with advanced “Chip-on-Board technology” that offers up to 8GB of flash storage to fit into an incredibly small-and-slim case. They support USB 2.0/1.1 interface and are compatible with Windows 7 (or earlier), Mac OS X and Linux platforms.

Samsung S2 Portable HDD Gets USB 3.0 Update

The Samsung S2 portable hard drive is now updated with a USB 3.0 interface and 7,200RPM spindle speed.
The S2 Portable 3.0 offers a maximum transfer rate of 5 gigabits per second (Gbps) compared to the 480 megabits per second (Mbps) in the previous USB 2.0 version. It also features a low vibration Dynamic Balancing technology and low noise technologies for added convenience. The portable HDD even comes in a reduced size for a more efficient power consumption and loaded with preloaded software for data back-up, data encryption, and password protection.

Dreambook ePad N7 Tablet Unveiled In Australia

Australian company, Pioneer Computers has shown off their DreamBook ePad N7 slate tablet.
Running Google’s Android, this tablet will feature a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with an 800 x 400 resolution, NVIDA’s Tegra 2 technology, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage in addition to a microSD slot. Also, it will feature an option 1.3 megapixel webcam, HDMI-out, and an option 3G antenna.

Wink e-book Reader To Be Launched In India

Bangalore-based EC Media has launched “Wink”, which they proclaim is “India’s first e-book reader”.
They claim to have more than 2,00,000 titles as well as newspapers, magazines and journals. It has a 6-inch screen that shows content using e-ink technology, just like the Kindle. The e-ink display emulates the appearance of an actual printed book. The device is 11mm thin and weighs as much as a regular novel. On fully charging its 1500 mAh battery, it can run for 300 hours continuously, which is great.
